Un caloroso saluto a tutti i nostri lettori, oggi vi presentiamo “Comme Ton Père”, il nuovo EP rigorosamente cantato in lingua madre del duo synthpop francese Dead In 1985 (Chris Bang Bang prima voce, testi, chitarra e Cécil Sans E seconda voce, sintetizzatore). “Comme Ton Père”, è stato pubblicato il 6 maggio 2022, registrato e mixato interamente dal dirompente ed eclettico duo francese. L’EP per il mercato italiano è promosso dall’etichetta ferrarese (R)esisto Distribuzione. “Comme Ton Père”, ha raggiunto il Bel Paese in versione Deluxe, 8 tracce più una versione remix darksynth di “Comme ton Père” di Synthamour, un talentuoso amico del duo. L’EP manda in estesi qualsiasi ascoltatore, persino quello più casual. La nostalgia da synth disco e della italo-disco anni’ 80, rivivono con rispetto e magnificenza, se poi amate alla follia anche il Leggendario Padrino della Disco Music e della EDM Giorgio Moronder, beh non potete lasciarvi scappare questo capolavoro transalpino, qui le sonorità risultano ottimamente pompose, intriganti ed evocative, immergersi in questo divino agglomerato sonoro ripaga ampliamente il pubblico, le aspettative sono superate alla grande, a questo si aggiungono anche altri generi musicali, imponenti e soprattutto ben miscelati: Pop, New-Wave e Hi-NRG. I Dead in 1985 sono una forza della natura in azione, i loro testi e le loro basi musicali vibranti, trasmettono al pubblico una sensazione davvero molto onesta ed empatica, sono i portavoce perfetti in questo mondo in cui viviamo; dove la gente confida negli errori altrui, per manipolarsi a vicenda, aiutarsi a vicenda e anche per relazionarsi, questo è il confortevole modo caotico dell’umanità. Le denunce sociali e politiche del duo sono quindi provviste di solide fondamenta: tutti i giorni cambiamo il mondo, ma perché il cambiamento sia significativo, ci vuole più tempo di quello che abbiamo, non accade mai niente in una sola volta. È lento, è metodico, è estenuante, non tutti abbiamo lo stomaco per farlo. Tutto quello che abbiamo è il nostro pensiero. La vita è un esercizio di equilibrio, facciamo del nostro meglio, camminiamo su un filo, sopra una fossa di dolore indicibile che cerca di farci inciampare continuamente. I mostri perfetti della società sono il denaro e la salute, uno è inutile senza l’altro ad esempio: se ci hanno pagato molto bene, le nostre condizioni fisiche rendono la cosa irrilevante. Con questo magistrale EP, il fantastico duo francese presenta l’evoluzione e il chiaroscuro generazionale che si è protratto nel tempo, dove si è stati forgiati dell’idea che l’annientamento è sempre la soluzione. Distruggiamo una parte di noi ogni giorno, photoshoppiamo i nostri difetti, ritocchiamo quello che non ci piace di noi… quello che pensiamo non piace agli altri, accudiamo la nostra identità, la scolpiamo, la distilliamo, noi siamo l’annientamento. Il duo ci ridona speranza, perché per un futuro meno solitario e più armonioso, bisogna sicuramente cooperare, rispettarsi a vicenda, sebbene le dinamiche interattive della nostra contemporaneità sono sempre più soggette alle connessioni tecnologiche (evitiamo quindi che pensieri e schermi diventino definitivamente una cosa sola). Dobbiamo volere tutti insieme la normalità e non essere bloccati ai margini, senza poi nemmeno sapere come partecipare alla socializzazione. Tutte le nove tracce sono qualcosa di più di un semplice omaggio e di un lavoro tritato e ritrito, questa è una pura e sublime nostalgia canaglia che tanto ci sta (e vi starà sicuramente a cuore). L’atmosfera del disco è molto omogenea e fa sì che queste nove canzoni scivolino via in fretta, lasciando in testa un gusto delicato di bella musica, fatta con il cuore e con tanta passione. Non avrete bisogno di conoscere le parole, la musica stessa vi indicherà il mood di ogni singola traccia, è un EP universale, un po’ come quando eravamo piccoli e ascoltavamo canzoni inglesi, le amavamo ugualmente, seppur non conoscessimo ancora la lingua. Il duo merita senza ombra di dubbio la lode della nostra redazione, complimenti!.

DEAD IN 1985: “COMME TON PÈRE”, IS THE ONLY CONSTANT IN A SEA OF VARIABLES

A warm greeting to all our readers, today we present ‘Comme Ton Père’, the new EP strictly sung in the mother tongue by French synthpop duo Dead In 1985 (Chris Bang Bang first vocals, lyrics, guitar and Cécil Sans E second vocals, synthesiser). ‘Comme Ton Père’, was released on 6 May 2022, recorded and mixed entirely by the disruptive and eclectic French duo. The EP for the Italian market is promoted by the Ferrara-based label (R)esisto Distribuzione. “Comme Ton Père”, has reached the Bel Paese (Name attributed par excellence to Italy, in memory of Dante’s well-known verses) in a Deluxe version, 8 tracks plus a darksynth remix version of “Comme ton Père” by Synthamour, a talented friend of the duo. The EP sends any listener, even the most casual one, into a frenzy. The nostalgia of synth disco and 80s Italo-disco is revived with respect and magnificence, and if you are a huge fan of the Legendary Godfather of Disco Music and EDM Giorgio Moronder, you can’t pass up this transalpine masterpiece. The sounds here are superbly bombastic, intriguing and evocative, and immersing yourself in this divine sound agglomerate expectations are exceeded in a big way, and other musical genres are added to this, impressive and above all well mixed: Pop, New-Wave and Hi-NRG. The Dead in 1985 are a force of nature in action, their vibrant lyrics and musical backing convey a very honest and empathetic feeling to the audience, they are the perfect spokespersons in this world we live in; where people rely on the mistakes of others, to manipulate each other, to help each other and also to relate to each other, this is the comfortable chaotic way of humanity. The duo’s social and political denunciations therefore have a solid foundation: every day we change the world, but for change to be meaningful, it takes longer than we have, nothing ever happens at once. It is slow, it is methodical, it is exhausting, not all of us have the stomach for it. All we have is our thinking. Life is a balancing act, we do the best we can, we walk on a tightrope, over a pit of unspeakable pain that is constantly trying to trip us up. The perfect monsters of society are money and health, one is useless without the other for example: if we have been paid very well, our physical condition makes it irrelevant. With this masterful EP, the fantastic French duo present the evolution and generational contrast that has gone on over time, where we are forged of the idea that annihilation is always the solution. We destroy a part of ourselves every day, we photoshop our flaws, we retouch what we don’t like about ourselves… what we think others don’t like about us, we cherish our identity, we sculpt it, we distill it, we are annihilation. The duo gives us hope again, because for a less lonely and more harmonious future, we must surely cooperate, respect each other, even though the interactive dynamics of our contemporaneity are increasingly subject to technological connections (let us therefore avoid that thoughts and screens become one). We must all want normality and not be stuck on the margins, not even knowing how to participate in socialising. All nine tracks are more than just homage and shredded, rehashed work, this is pure and sublime rogue nostalgia that is so much in our hearts (and will certainly be in your hearts). The album’s atmosphere is very homogenous and makes these nine songs slip away quickly, leaving in your head a delicate taste of beautiful music, made with heart and passion. You don’t need to know the words, the music itself will tell you the mood of every single track, it is a universal EP, a bit like when we were kids and listened to English songs, we loved them just as much, even though we didn’t know the language yet.
